Jean Paul Gaultier parts ways with Aeffe SpA
The French designer Jean Paul Gaultier has ended his partnership with his long-term distributor and manufacturer Aeffe SpA. The Italian luxury goods group worked with Jean Paul since the mid-90s and has produced his signature collections.
Aeffe has lucrative production deals with several of the top fashion houses including Moschino, Pollini, Cacharel, Cedric Carlier and Alberta Ferretti and Philosophy di Alberta Ferretti and recently added Emanuel Ungaro to their client list.
Designer Gaultier hasn’t revealed yet what will be his next move.
Gaultier took Paris Fashion Week by storm last month with a 1980s-style show that featured models dressed as pop icons including Madonna, Grace Jones, Boy George and Michael Jackson sporting his spring/summer 2013 collection.
