Superstar Rihanna - who unveiled her first fashion line for British high street chain River Island at London Fashion Week last Saturday - has revealed she wanted to launch her collection in the UK because she thinks Brits have the most fashion sense.
She told Grazia magazine: "Britain has the most fashionable kids in the world. These kids inspired the high-end designers - they say what's cool. So why not to go to the source when you want to be ahead of the trend and create something inspirational and fresh? That's why I wanted to work with River Island."
Rihanna’s daring collection features neon coloured separates, saucy thigh-high splits and crop tops and Rihanna commented that she's wanted to launch her own line for quite some time.
She added: "I've wanted to design my own fashion line for a very long time now. It's been something I've thought about since I started loving fashion. Every time I saw a garment on the rack there was something I wanted to change, so I felt like the only way I could do that was by designing the perfect thing for me."
