Portia Freeman has a shoe 'fetish'
British model Portia Freeman has a "shoe fetish" resulting in a collection of 100 pairs of footwear, with a majority being heels as she feels they give her better "posture" than flat shoes do.
The British model, who returned to modelling in late 2011 after giving birth to her son Dylan with The Kooks bass player Pete Dento, has a collection of over 100 pairs of shoes and especially loves high heels as they help her posture.
She admitted: "I'm more comfortable in heels than in flats. They give me better posture. I think I've got a bit of a problem ... a shoe fetish."
Portia, 23, also reminisced about her childhood during the interview with online shoe retailer Javari.co.uk as part of their 'Shoe the Keyhole', recalling the first time she wore a pair of heels.
She said: "My earliest memories of shoes is when I must have been about four or five and I use to strut around my cul-de-sac where I lived with my push chair and my godmother's highest pair of shoes.
"They were super high for me, though they're probably kitten heels now. And I was strutting around in the rain with these high heels and my push chair and my mum said, 'Come in here, it's raining outside', and I'd say, 'No! I don't care!' Because I use to like the noise on the floor - I was like clip clop clip clop. I loved it."
Portia, who was discovered at 16 and has already fronted campaigns such as Alexander McQueen's label McQ, chose some of her favourite pieces from Javari's latest collection and a pair that stood out for her were the 'Head Over Heels' platform ankle boots priced at £59.
While admiring the boots she said: "I love a chunky heel, and I like the detail on these the way they cut around the ankle - very feminine."
